Construction Overview

Walking around the growing Fairways estate last week, it was fantastic to see many stunning new homes taking shape across both the urban and country living allotments. For those who may not have had the opportunity to explore The Fairways, the natural beauty of the estate, wetland spaces and the outlook across Drouin Golf and Country Club is unlike any other rural development in the area. As the estate begins to take shape, it truly is a little piece of paradise nestled within the lush Gippsland landscape and a wonderful place to call home for our first home builders.

Stage 3 Urban Living

Since our previous update, extensive work has been undertaken as we work towards stage three urban living completion in early 2022. All underground service works have been delivered across the stage, including the installation of essential services, sewage and drainage. Surface works continue, as the construction team installs kerbs in preparation for road surfacing works to begin. Final site preparation will also commence shortly, with final lot topsoiling about to get underway.

Stage three construction also includes the installation of pedestrian paths along the stunning waterway, creating connections to McGlone Road from stage 2 and 3 Urban Living, as well as the Country Living estate. We will also see extensive planting take place across this waterway in coming weeks, followed by a final waterway tidy up and beautification.

Stage 2 Country Living

Similarly, Stage Two construction has moved along since our last update, with underground drainage, sewage and water works being finalised. Due to the large allotments in this stage and overall size of the stage, these essential services can take longer to be installed. Preparation is underway for the construction of connecting footpaths across the stage, and also preparation to move into the final surface works and road installation. Stage Two Country Living is on track for completion in early 2022, with titles to follow shortly afterward. While we try to provide accurate information in regards to estimated title dates, please note that title estimates and timeframes are subject to change based on approvals from external authorities, the impact of weather on construction, and more recently, delays due to the COVID19 pandemic.

Future Stages – Urban Living

Works continue across Urban Living Stages 4 and 5. Underground sewerage works and drainage are complete across Urban Living stages 4 and 5, and water installation is well underway. On the surface level, initial earthworks have been completed, with the next stage of road stabilisation to occur in the next month.

Looking ahead, we can expect to see a pedestrian bridge across the waterway connecting Urban Living Stages 1 and 4, with plans for the bridge currently in the design phase. Future stage six works are also on the horizon, and we are hopeful that initial earthworks will take place over the summer months.

Future Stages – Country Living

It was exciting to see that the initial road cut and earthworks have now taken place across stage 3 Country Living, what a fantastic corner of The Fairways Estate. The next step in construction will be the commencement of underground sewerage and drainage works, scheduled to begin in the new year.
