5 reasons you need a Land Surveyor

Surveying is an important but little understood part of the building process.  Land Surveyors are the link between design and construction.  You may need a land surveyor for many different reasons.  Here are just a few:

You want to extend your home
When planning an extension, a surveyor needs to be engaged from the outset so the designer has a starting point.  A Title Re-establishment and a Feature & Level Survey will be needed.

You want to erect a fence on your property
When building a new fence on your property it is always best to request a Title Re-establishment to make sure your boundaries are where you think they are.  If you have recently built your home Title pegs can easily get moved during this process.

You want to sub-divide your land
Much like extending your home the process all starts with an existing conditions survey to show a designer and council the current opportunities and restraints that exist.

You have a boundary dispute with a neighbour
In this case, you would need a Title Re-establishment.  This would give yourself and your neighbour a legal document showing the true locations of your titles and will help to resolve your dispute.

You need some advice on developing your land
By understanding Council requirements, zones & overlays and site & servicing constraints we’re able to make quick assessments of sites from a development perspective and let you know indicative timing and pricing.
