On Tuesday this week, The South Gippsland Sentinel-Times published a story on the clearance of land onsite at LandGipps’ seaside development, Heritage Bay in Corinella.
The removal of vegetation across parts of the 20-acre site has elicited mixed reactions from community members, however, the article reveals that Country Fire Authority conditions, supported by Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning “required the removal of all vegetation across the site.”
The page 15 article includes comments from a broad sample of representatives including resident from neighboring Coronet Bay Len Van Der Neut, Bass Coast Cr Clare Le Serve, Bass Coast Council’s Development Services Manager, Jamie Thorley, Sure Constructions Project Manager Mark Steggall, DELWP Manager Environmental Planning for the Gippsland Region Mick Dortmans, and Corinella Foreshore Committee president, Barb Oates.
